I Don't Know What to Say

Hello my friend,

I just felt like I needed to pop onto the blog to say... I don't know what to say.

I honestly don't know what to talk about right now; what to address, what to write about... it's kind of stressing me out to be honest. My usual topics like traditionalism, femininity, and style just don't seem like priority topics right now. It even feels like the society-wide conversation around feminism, gender roles, and religion have been completely overshadowed by Covid-19 talk.

It almost feels like we're reverting back to simple living and traditionalism due to the virus; our booming society built up around brunching on Sundays, hooking up in our 20's, and working in social media marketing seems to have broken down in a matter of weeks. But I can't help but see a couple positive mindset shifts occurring in my fellow Americans throughout this pandemic... maybe we're realizing what the most important things in life are, or maybe we're realizing that many of our "toxic societal problems" were actually just made-up issues, and that what we actually need to focus on are the necessities to human survival; family, sustainability, and health.

But I don't know... maybe I'm wrong. I don't even know what to think right now. But I'll be back to write to you... I promise.

xoxo,

Cait

Hello Caitlin,

I hope you can feel better in the next few days. I know it is a really stressful time, specially when you're a homemaker. I was feeling very sad when the first cases of Covid-19 started to pop-up in my country, and in my city. But I found peace in God, returning to Bible reading, and prayer. Now I can see the blessings that have been there all the time, but I didn't noticed before. I pray to God that you and your family will be alright, and that we may all get through this, and for the glory of the Lord.

Send you a huge hug.

Caitlin! ❤ This is a good post and I think you might be hitting on something in your thoughts on little shifts in our society. My husband and I have noticed/wondered similar things. I just want to encourage you in what you are doing and what you have been doing and if you feel like your blog/channel needs to take a different turn right now, your readers support you l. You are always so sweet and compassionate and I think you don't have to worry too much that you don't know what to say. I think no one really knows what to say right now and we will be here when you do. ❤ God bless.

Hi Cait,

Good evening! It feels to me like everyone is reverting back to traditional style living and struggling quite a bit with it. I've seen people on my Instagram feed trying to figure out how to make bread (the grocery stores are sold out), struggling with mealplans and at a loss on how to set up a routine. Prior to this, these people would have never given a thought to any of these things. Heck, I saw one of my very progressive friends don an apron for the first time today.

Maybe make a video series that would help them in that sense. The majority of them are homemaking newbies.
